Personal data ("data") is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.

Alps Alpine is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this site, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this policy.

A. Data controller

The data controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") is Alps Alpine Europe GmbH, Ohmstr. 4, 85716 Unterschleißheim, Germany.

C. Type, purpose and storage period of the data

Below we inform you about the type of data, the various purposes for which it is collected, the intended storage period, as well as the legal basis on which the processing is based.

1. general visit to our site

In addition to general log files, we have a legitimate interest in storing the IP address of the device you use to access the website in order to enable the website to be displayed (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). This will be deleted after you leave the website.

If you do not use any other functions of the website (e.g. registration, contact form, unnecessary cookies, etc.) and do not voluntarily provide any further data, we will not process any further data from you.

2. contact form or e-mail

We provide you with a contact form so that you can contact us quickly and we can process your request promptly. By entering and clicking on the "send" field, you allow us to collect the following data to process your request and store it for as long as is necessary for this purpose (Art. 6 para. 1 a) GDPR).

(1) Name, (2) e-mail address, (3) telephone number, (4) content of the message.

The same naturally also applies to all data that you voluntarily provide to us when you send us an e-mail.

However, we would like to ask you to address all data protection-related concerns directly to our data protection officer in order to ensure the fastest possible processing.

3. hosting

Our website is hosted by AWS, Krausenstraße 38, 10117 Berlin, so that personal data stored on our platforms is transmitted to these processors or their servers. The server is located within the EU.


Of course, we have concluded an order processing agreement with them in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR.

5. your rights‍

5.1 Right to information (Art. 15 GDPR)‍

If you so wish, we will be happy to inform you of the extent to which we process personal data concerning you. If we process your data, we can provide you with the following information on request:

  • the purposes for which the personal data are processed;
  • the categories of personal data that are processed;
  • the recipients or categories of recipients to whom the personal data concerning you have been or will be disclosed;
  • the planned duration of storage of the personal data concerning you or, if specific information on this is not possible, criteria for determining the duration of storage;
  • the existence of a right to rectification or erasure of personal data concerning you, a right to restriction of processing by the controller or a right to object to such processing;
  • the existence of a right of appeal to a supervisory authority;
  • all available information on the origin of the data if the personal data is not collected from the data subject;
  • the existence of automated decision-making, including profiling, referred to in Art. 22 (1) and (4) GDPR and, at least in those cases, meaningful information about the logic involved, as well as the significance and the envisaged consequences of such processing for the data subject.

You have the right to request information as to whether the personal data concerning you is transferred to a third country or to an international organization and to what extent suitable guarantees in accordance with Art. 46 GDPR are available for security.


You have the right to receive a copy of the personal data that is the subject of the processing. For any further copies you request, we may charge a reasonable fee based on administrative costs. If you make the request electronically, the information must be provided in a commonly used electronic format, unless you specify otherwise.


The right to receive a copy must not impair the rights and freedoms of other persons and the right to information does not exist if the information would disclose information that must be kept secret in accordance with a legal provision or by its nature, in particular due to the overriding legitimate interests of a third party.

5.2 Right to rectification (Art. 16, 19 GDPR)

‍Uponyour request, we will immediately correct and complete the personal data stored by us if it is incomplete.


We will forward your request to each recipient to whom the personal data has been disclosed, unless this proves impossible or requires a disproportionate effort and will inform you of these recipients upon request.

‍5.3 Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten") (Art. 17, 19 GDPR)

‍Youmay request us to delete the personal data concerning you immediately and we are obliged to delete this data immediately if one of the following reasons applies:

  • The personal data concerning you are no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were collected or otherwise processed.
  • You withdraw your consent on which the processing was based pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 a) GDPR or Art. 9 para. 2 a) GDPR and there is no other legal basis for the processing.
  • You object to the processing pursuant to Art. 21 (1) GDPR and there are no overriding legitimate grounds for the processing, or you object to the processing pursuant to Art. 21 (2) GDPR.
  • We have unlawfully processed the personal data concerning you.
  • The deletion of personal data concerning you is necessary to fulfill a legal obligation under Union law or the law of the Member States to which we are subject.
  • The personal data concerning you was collected in relation to information society services offered in accordance with Art. 8 para. 1 GDPR.

We will forward your request to each recipient to whom the personal data has been disclosed, unless this proves impossible or requires a disproportionate effort and will inform you of these recipients at your request.


Please note that you do not have the right to erasure if we are legally obliged to process your personal data or if the processing of your personal data is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.

5.4 Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18, 19 GDPR)

‍Furthermore, you may request the restriction of the processing of personal data concerning you under the following conditions:

  • if you contest the accuracy of the personal data concerning you for a period enabling us to verify the accuracy of the personal data;
  • the processing is unlawful and you oppose the erasure of the personal data and request the restriction of their use instead;
  • we no longer need the personal data for the purposes of the processing, but they are required by you for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims, or
  • if you have objected to the processing pursuant to Art. 21 (1) GDPR and it is not yet certain whether our legitimate reasons outweigh your reasons.


If the processing of personal data concerning you has been restricted, this data - apart from its storage - may only be processed with your consent or for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of important public interest of the Union or of a Member State.

If the restriction of processing has been restricted in accordance with the above conditions, you will be informed by us before the restriction is lifted.


We will forward your request to each recipient to whom the personal data has been disclosed, unless this proves impossible or requires a disproportionate effort and will inform you of these recipients at your request.

5.5 Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)

‍Underthe conditions of Art. 20 (1) GDPR, i.e. that

  • the processing is based on consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 a) GDPR or Art. 9 para. 2 a) GDPR or on a contract pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 b) GDPR and
  • the processing is based on consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 a) GDPR or Art. 9 para. 2 a) GDPR or on a contract pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 b) GDPR and
  • the processing is carried out by automated means, and
  • The freedoms and rights of other persons must not be impaired by this, and


at your request, we will transmit your personal data to you or another controller (where technically feasible) in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format.

5.6 Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR)

Insofar as the processing by us is based on Art. 6 para. 1 e) or f) GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data at any time for reasons arising from your particular situation.


This also applies to profiling based on these legal bases. We will then no longer process the personal data concerning you unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.


If your personal data is processed for the purpose of direct marketing, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of your personal data for the purpose of such marketing. This also applies to profiling insofar as it is associated with direct advertising.


If you object to processing for direct marketing purposes, the personal data concerning you will no longer be processed for these purposes. In the context of the use of information society services, and notwithstanding Directive 2002/58/EC, you may exercise your right to object by automated means using technical specifications. You also have the right to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of personal data concerning you for statistical purposes pursuant to Art. 89 (1) GDPR.


At your request, your personal data will be deleted in accordance with your right to deletion and under the conditions explained above.

5.7 Right to withdraw consent (Art. 6 (1) a), 7 GDPR)

‍Inthe event that the processing by us is based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. The withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

5.8 Automated decision-making in individual cases including profiling

‍Youhave the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling, which produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you. This does not apply if the decision

  • is necessary for the conclusion or performance of a contract between you and us,
  • is authorized by Union or Member State law to which we are subject and which also lays down suitable measures to safeguard your rights and freedoms and legitimate interests; or
  • with your express consent.


However, these decisions must not be based on special categories of personal data referred to in Art. 9 (1) GDPR, unless Art. 9 (2) a) or g) GDPR applies and suitable measures to safeguard your rights and freedoms and legitimate interests are in place.
We take appropriate measures to safeguard the rights and freedoms as well as your legitimate interests, including at least the right to obtain the intervention of a person on the part of the person responsible, to state his or her own position and to challenge the decision.

5.9 Right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR)

If you believe that ALPS ALPINE has violated its obligations under the General Data Protection Regulation or the national data protection regulations applicable to you, you have the right, in addition to the national legal remedies, to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular at your usual place of residence, your place of work or the place of the alleged violation.  

6 Consequences of not providing data

‍Youare not legally obliged to provide us with your data. However, if provision is necessary for the provision of a service, we cannot provide you with the corresponding service without the transmission of the data.

‍Thispolicy may change from time to time as we update this page. You should therefore check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes. Any subsequent material changes in content or substance will be notified accordingly.
